I love birds , we have loads of them. I had to look up the Dutch word for this one though. He's called a parrot diver here :-)
Beautiful Janie

I had absolutely no clue about the word ' puffin' which I find very cute btw :) I guess we have a different appelation for them here but I'm not too much into birds and so I don't know !

They're absolutely gorgeous through your brushes anyway , what a delicate work Janie !
I love their colored beaks and this feeling of freedom we can feel they have dashing forward the cliff :)

Subtle and lovely dear Janie !:D

Oh pretty good thanks. How are you? Are you having a good summer down there? :D

They're great little birds aren't they? I wonder where your nearest big colony is so you could catch them at breeding time? :)

Hi Martina. I think it's an old Viking word. We get them along the Atlantic coasts and on the islands, so you probably wouldn't have seen them. There are a lot in Iceland, where, horror of horrors, they eat them! Ugh! :-(

Hi Caroline. I love that word for them! I think some people here still call them "sea parrots".
Thanks for the comment.
