Thank you! Well, I'd love to help you. :) Just keep it wet and moving in the direction you want and add the different colours as you go. There you go, done!

I've been on a couple sail boats, but never in big waves! Some sailing friends told me that its not big wind that flips boats, its big waves... yikes!

"Yikes" is about right! I hope I never meet a really big, steep sided monster. :wow:

This is awesome, Janie. :D I love how everything about this picture screams out "movement!" - how the waves are crashing into the boat and making it roll, and how the yachtsmen are scrambling to prevent it from capsizing. And it goes without saying that your sea spray looks great!

Far, thank you so much! The photo I used was amazing and exactly captured the mayhem. I knew I'd have to do the wave in one go and guess what, the minute I'd started, somebody banged on the door! I opened the window and yelled, "Go away!!!!!" I have no idea who it was but at least I saved the wave.

Ah, the proverbial man from Porlock. I'm glad the person didn't rob you of your artistic moment!

Ha ha, the visitor from Porlock! I never thought of that. It's a pity Coleridge didn't think to do what I did isn't it?

 Ya can't blame him. What with the opium and all, I don't think he was thinking straight when he let the guy in.

There's nothing like an opium induced stupor to make you do something really silly! Btw, I've always hated Kubla Khan so maybe the guy from Porlock did us all a favour by shortening it. :giggle:

 There are those who feel regret that Kubla Khan is a fragment. And then there are others who are convinced he'd have made a hash of it had the man from Porlock not interceded...
[link] This is horribly written, but it may give you a chuckle anyway.

"Triumphantly I planted a foot in the doorway so that he could not possibly slam the door shut on me. "Good day, Mr. Coleridge," I said. "I wonder if I might have a word with you? You see, I’ve come all the way from Porlock – ""

So inventive! I absolutely loved this!! Poor Coleridge to be sabotaged in this dastardly way by some time-travelling literature destroyer!
Thank you, a lot of fun. :sun: Also, I went back and read KK again and guess what? I liked it! :sun:

I did... a very long time ago...
Unfortunately, I couldn't turn hubby into a sailor (nor was I able to interest him in climbing mountains or riding horses...) so in the end we compromised on tennis...

:wow: this one is really stunning Janie I like it a lot !
the composition is perfectly balanced , as well with the colors than with the different elements

The way you treat the water is perfect !
And what about the people , the primary colors on them are beautiful and highlight them just fine , and you literaly chiseled them .

This is a master piece sweetie , congrats and a lot of  ! :D
